Three steps after the download
01
Install and open Bridge
Get past the first-launch prompt below, then open Bridge from Applications or the Start menu.
02
Paste your API key
Create a key in the Rivo console and paste it in. Bridge verifies it before saving.
03
Pick a model and launch
Bridge only offers model capabilities it has verified, then writes the config and starts the tool.
If it won't install or open
Find the prompt your system shows and follow its steps. Each prompt only needs to be handled once.
Why these prompts appear. Rivo Bridge is not yet notarized by Apple or code-signed for Windows, so the system cannot verify the publisher and asks first. That does not mean the file is unsafe. Only download from this page, and check the SHA-256 if you want to be sure.
Apple could not verify “Rivo Bridge” is free of malware that may harm your Mac or compromise your privacy. (Older macOS: “Rivo Bridge” can’t be opened because the developer cannot be verified.)
- 1Click Done in the dialog. Do not click Move to Trash.
- 2Open System Settings → Privacy & Security and scroll down to the Security section.
- 3You will see a note that Rivo Bridge was blocked. Click Open Anyway next to it and confirm with your password.
- 4Open Rivo Bridge again and click Open in the dialog. macOS will not ask again.
No Open Anyway button? Double-click Rivo Bridge in Applications once to trigger the prompt, then go straight back to Privacy & Security. On macOS 14 and earlier you can also Control-click the app and choose Open; macOS 15 removed that shortcut.
“Rivo Bridge” is damaged and can’t be opened. You should move it to the Trash.
- 1Click Cancel, not Move to Trash. The app is fine: macOS put a quarantine flag on an unsigned app downloaded from the web.
- 2Make sure Rivo Bridge is already in your Applications folder.
- 3Open Terminal (search “Terminal” in Spotlight), paste the first command below and press Return.
- 4Open Rivo Bridge again. If the “could not verify” prompt follows, handle it as in the item above.
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine "/Applications/Rivo Bridge.app"sudo xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine "/Applications/Rivo Bridge.app"If you see Permission denied, run the second command with sudo and enter your login password. Terminal shows nothing while you type it; just press Return when done.
- 1Delete the downloaded file and download it again from this page. An interrupted connection leaves a partial file.
- 2If the DMG still won’t open, get the Universal · ZIP instead: double-click to unzip, then drag Rivo Bridge into Applications.
- 3To confirm the file is intact, run the command below in Terminal and compare the output with the SHA-256 in All builds. They must match exactly.
shasum -a 256 ~/Downloads/Rivo-Bridge-*Tried everything and still stuck?
Open a ticket with your OS version and a screenshot of the prompt and we will help you through it.
Bridge needs one key.
Create a Rivo API key, paste it into Bridge, and you are done.
Prefer the terminal? The docs carry one-line installers for Codex CLI, Claude Code, Cursor and the VS Code extension.
